Pop Can Line Drawing

I enjoyed this project.  I liked how my crushed can turned out, although I rushed through my other can and I don't think it turned out quite as well.  I believe this piece was successful, even though my perfectionist side can find plenty of mistakes.  The hardest part of this piece was making the designs on my crushed can up as I went along since I couldn't find my can and moving on and leaving designs on the regular can, even when they weren't perfect.  If I did this project again, I would consider spending more time on my regular can.  I learned in this piece how to create foreshortened shapes and create a 3D effect without shading.

Superhero Gesture Drawing

Overall, I think my cowboy is a little disproportional, but I think he ended up looking alright.  If I had spent more time on it, I think it would have looked better.  I feel like this piece was relatively successful, although my coloring didn't have much depth and his foreshortened legs ended up just looking short.  If I did this project again, I would spend more time coloring and make him more proportional.  The most difficult part about this project was not making his head way too big, which usually ends up being an issue.  I learned how to shade with colored pencils and how to develop a gesture drawing while working on this project.

Still Life

Overall, I enjoyed this project.  I feel like I could have done a better job on certain parts, especially the cup, but I liked how my cast shadows turned out, and all things considered, I'm pleased with the outcome.  If I did this project over again, I would consider spending more time shading the cup and put more details into the canteen.  The most difficult part of completing this piece was trying not to smudge the shading you had already done while completing other parts of the piece.  While completing this piece, I learned how to better apply my knowledge of shading the geometric shapes and how that knowledge applies to other figures.
